OUR CHIROPRACTORS
Your Treatment Journey
Your first visit to our clinic is an essential step towards improving your health and well-being. Here's what you can expect during your initial appointment:
Comprehensive Assessment
Your first visit will last approximately 40 minutes as we prioritise understanding your unique health concerns. We'll begin by examining your medical history and obtaining your consent for treatment. Following this, we'll conduct a thorough physical examination to assess your condition.
Thorough Examination
To facilitate a comprehensive examination, we may provide you with a gown for comfort and ease of assessment. Our chiropractors are trained to perform detailed examinations, aiming to accurately diagnose your condition.
Diagnostic Tools
If deemed necessary, additional investigations such as X-rays or MRI scans may be recommended to assist in reaching a diagnosis. Rest assured, our chiropractors are skilled in interpreting these images and will advise you accordingly. Should they identify any underlying conditions requiring alternative treatments, they will promptly refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Understanding Your Treatment Plan
Once a diagnosis is reached, your chiropractor will explain their findings from the examination, propose a treatment plan, discuss alternative options, and outline the benefits and risks associated with each approach. We prioritize ensuring that you have a clear understanding of your condition and treatment plan, and we encourage you to ask any questions you may have.
Informed Consent
Before proceeding with treatment, we want to ensure that you feel fully informed and comfortable with the proposed plan. You'll have ample opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification. If desired, you're welcome to bring a relative or friend to support you during this process.
Collaborative Care
With your consent, we may share details of your condition and treatment with your general practitioner (GP) to ensure coordinated care. Your privacy and confidentiality are paramount, and any sharing of information will be done with your explicit permission.

What is Chiropractic?Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that specialises in the diagnosis, management and prevention of musculoskeletal pain and the effects this has on the nervous system and general health. In the UK, Chiropractic is regulated by the General Chiropractic Council.
-
What qualifications does a Chiropractor have?Chiropractors typically complete a 5-year full time Master’s degree qualification. As chiropractors are musculoskeletal experts, they can use the title Doctor of Chiropractic, if they wish. They are regulated by the General Chiropractic Council which uphold strict standards of practice. Chiropractors must complete CPD training annually to ensure they are keeping up to date.
-
Is Chiropractic safe?Chiropractic care is very safe when performed by a trained and regulated Chiropractor. Some people experience minor side effects for a few days after their initial treatment. These may include mild headaches, tiredness, or minor pain in the parts of the body that were treated. There are certain conditions that are not suitable for chiropractic adjustments, which your chiropractor will assess for at the initial consultation. Your chiropractor will discuss risks and any concerns you may have.

On average, our clinic resolves complaints between 6-12 visits; although most patients feel a modest improvement after 3-4.
-
What is maintenance/wellness care?Once you have completed your course of care and are feeling much better, most patients choose to maintain their new found state of wellbeing by having periodic check-ups and maintenance visits. This can vary from once a month, to once every three-months depending on your needs.
